The Shark FlexBreeze Portable Fan has quickly risen as a must-have for cooling down since its launch last year – and it’s currently on sale for £179, making it a perfect deal for those who struggle to sleep on warm nights.
When I was looking for the best fan to replace my noisy old tower version, I took a punt on it and over eight months later, I can confirm it was certainly the right choice. I have to sleep with a fan on because my loft bedroom can reach temperatures in the low 40s on the hottest days. Other fans I have had in the past have either been too loud, or too short to position somewhere that will pull cooler air from outside through the rooflights. I knew a pedestal fan with a wide range of movement was a must and the Shark Flexbreeze is just that, and so much more.
With temperatures set to soar if you want a quiet fan with good oscillation, remote operation and the option to take it outside – yes, it’s cordless – then your search can end here.
This week, the Flexbreeze is available to buy with a £20 discount on the Shark website AND they have thrown in a free car charger so you can take it camping or on your next picnic. A few other retailers have dropped their prices to match too, so don’t miss this cool deal for the hot weather.
Shark FlexBreeze Portable Fan
The Shark FlexBreeze is a hybrid fan with 5 cooling speeds and can be used corded or cordless, tabletop or pedestal, outdoors or indoors, or with or without the mister. It includes a remote for easy control from bed or lounger.
The Shark FlexBreeze is the brand’s first venture into the world of fans, having been on our radar for years now, for manufacturing some of the best vacuums we’ve tried and tested. Shark is well known for innovating and while this isn’t the first cordless fan on the market, the Flexbreeze is unique with its own range of genius features to praise; many of which we’ve covered in our first look.
With up to 24 hours of battery life, I love that I can easily take my Shark fan to any space in the house when I need it, or even outside. It not only comes in pedestal format – it has been designed with the brand’s Lift Away technology (featured in the Shark ICZ300UKT cordless upright vacuum, for example) so you can lift the fan head off and a smaller mini stand appears. This allows you to place it on desks and tabletops. On the hottest days, it follows me around the house and means I don’t need a fan for every room. What a smart money-saver.
Better yet, the FlexBreeze even comes with a clever misting attachment that pairs up with a garden hose pipe, allowing for on-demand cooling, helping to decrease the temperature of outdoor spaces by up to 5°C. I am yet to use this option, but it will be the ideal companion for garden parties and al fresco dining this summer.
And I am not the only one impressed by not just all the cool add-ons, but most importantly, how quiet this fan is. Our Deputy Editor Rebecca Knight has also been trying it out and noted the noise – or lack of.
‘Even on the lowest setting, it’s still really powerful and you can barely hear it. I’ve got the Duux Whisper Flex Smart Pedestal Fan, and I’d say that the Shark FlexBreeze is on par or even quieter when it’s on the lowest speed,’ says Rebecca.
‘My sister always leaves it on at night when she’s sleeping, and she’s never had an issue with it. It’s a really versatile buy to use anywhere in the home,’ she adds. So, if you tend to struggle to sleep when it’s too hot, the FlexBreeze could be the solution you’ve long been after.
With more heatwaves expected in the coming weeks, we think snapping up the Shark FlexBreeze with the £20 off discount is a worthwhile investment you’ll thank your future self for.
